For those of you who don't know, the Relay for Life is an event to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Teams raise money to walk around the track for 24 hours. I, as a cancer survivor, go to walk around for the first lap.

The Relay was in June on Friday the 13th....woooooo..... I took part in the relay as a survivor. I had a tough time because it was pretty warm out and as you can see above, me and my mom are way behind the others in the picture to the left. After the survivor's lap, there is a tent set up for the survivors and the caregivers to have dinner. Joey was my caregiver. They had an awesome frozen strawberry cake. Mmmmmm. We then headed over to the Wal-Mart tent, 'cause that's where we work. They did an awesome job. The theme this year was U.S. cities. We did Maui. We chatted for a little while, but we couldn't stay long. That night at 7 started our Friday the 13th party.
