This was the 2nd year we went to this place for Kelly's birthday.  This year she turned 14.  I think we all had a good time.  It was super hot out and the animal's shit needed to get shovelled.  There were lots of flies, so it was best to go where there was the least crap.  The one bear is really funny.  He has a bathtub they fill up with water and he splashes around.  This year the petting zoo was closed because there was a buck in velvet.  They didn't want to let people in because they were afraid he would hurt kids.  I got to pet his fuzzy antlers through the fence, though.  That emu up top was really scary.  He stuck his whole neck out of the fence and you could see straight down his throat.  I felt kinda bad for him, because people probably never pet him, but I was afraid to because he kept his mouth open and they are really fast.  Boy, was that a run-on sentence or what?  Anyways, Joey and I spied a baby ram wandering around free.  So we went over to pet him and he snuck back in the ram pen.  Here, the baby rams and goats were all sneaking out to eat fresh grass.  They didn't have horns to get caught on the fences.  The goats don't run away because they are part of the petting zoo.  They love to see people.  It's only 5 dollars to walk around the place.  It's on Rt. 147 (?) south of Selingsgrove.  So those of you locals, if you go the back way to go to the Selingsgrove mall- instead of making a right at the river and train tracks, you would make a left.  After the zoo, we went back to Joey's mom and dad's house for cake and to give Kelly her birthday presents.  She got a bird from her mom and dad- a cockatiel if my short term memory is working.  We got her a charm bracelet and monkey socks.  Joey made a special present- a giraffe toy body with a monkey head.  A girkey.  It's a Joey and Kelly thing.

Hope you had a fun birthday, Kelly!
